Obituary of Paul Lewandowski

Paul Lewandowski, 77, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024. He was born September 1, 1946, in Irvington, NJ. He spent most of his adult life in Orange County, New York before retiring to Ocala, Florida.

 

Paul graduated from Rutgers University in 1968 and Seton Hall University with a Master’s Degree in Microbiology. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1969. He served for 20 years in the New York Wing of Civil Air Patrol.  In 2007 Paul retired from Entergy Corporation where he was involved in nuclear security. He was an avid golfer, HAM radio operator, model builder and model train enthusiast. 

 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Lewandowski and his beloved brother Stanley and wife, Jean.

 

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Cathy; his children, son Andy (Judy) Lewandowski of Cazenovia, NY and daughter Ellie (Bryan) Loveall of Lithia, Florida; and grandchildren Alexander, Ansleigh and Evey.

 

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church 7525 S. US Hwy 41, Dunnellon, Florida. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, Florida. There will be a Celebration of Life from 2-4 pm at The Lodge at Candler Hills (On Top of the World) 8575 SW 87th Circle.

 

The family suggests that donations may be made in his name to: Children's Dream Fund, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
