Obituary of John Peter Kehrer

John Peter “Jack” Kehrer, Jr. 97, of Ocala, Florida passed away January 16, 2022, at Canterfield of Ocala, Ocala, Florida. Jack was born in Detroit, Michigan a son of the late John and Marie Kehrer. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corp as a B-17 co-pilot. He also flew about 6 other planes before mustering out of the Army. Prior to his retirement he worked for Automobile Appraisal Service, which he owned until he retired. Jack is survived by his son, Richard W. (Gayle) Kehrer of Glennie, MI, and his two step-sons John A. (Heidi) Cambers of Palatka, FL and Philip W. (Sharon) Cambers of Ocala, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by:Wanda Funk Kehrer, his wife for 43 years, of Walled Lake before her untimely death in 1986. He then married Mary E. Cambers Kehrer and was married for 31 years before her death in 2018. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Collen Kehrer Van Gordon. A Memorial Service will be held at Christian Life Assembly of God Church located on 9644 SW Highway 484, Ocala, FL. on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will be at the Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Michigan. Donations can be made to the Christian Life Assembly of God Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
