Obituary of William A. Browning

William A. “Al” Browning, 82, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019.  Al was born in Immokalee, FL to Fredie and Gladys Browning and moved to Ocala in 1999.  He worked 30 years with Florida Highway Patrol, then served with the US Marshal’s Office.  He was a member of Oak Griner Baptist Church.  Al was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and softball player.  He loved singing and playing his harmonica for his family, church, and others.  Al is remembered for his upstanding character, respectability, honor, and love for his Lord and Savior.  He was an amazing teacher and role model to his family and friends.  He will never be forgotten.

 

Al was predeceased by his wife Becky Browning, the love of his life, in 2014 and his son Jeff Browning in 2019.  He is survived by 3 children; Lori (Terry) Boring, Tim (Chrissy) Browning, and Kim (Calvin) Brown, 6 grandchildren; Ryann, Cassie, Thomas, Cortney, DeSean, and Kaylin, along with 9 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

 

Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Friday, August 16th at Hiers Baxley Funeral Service in Ocala.  Funeral service will be 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 17th at Oak Griner Baptist Church in Ocala.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oak Griner Baptist Church Children’s Dept.
