Obituary of Howard Clayton Henderson

Howard Clayton Henderson, 97, of Ocala, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021. He was born on March 11, 1923 in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, son of the late Howard and Helen (Rogers) Henderson. Clayton was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII and served as an Electrician's Mate 3rd Class. He worked for the West Chester, Pa. police department after leaving the service. He then worked for the Bell Telephone Company and AT&T for 35 years. He also was elected as Justice of the Peace for Westtown Township, Pa. for 12 years. In 1984, following his retirement he moved to Fort Meyers, FL and later moved to Ocala in 1990. He was preceded in death by his wives, Miriam and Ruth, his daughters Cheryl Henderson and Wendy Smith, and his grandson Brian Henderson. He is survived by his two sons, Richard and Steven, along with 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Following cremation, Clayton will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery.
