Obituary of Mary C. Richardson

Mary C Richardson, 93, of Ocala peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July

29, 2020 at home in Ocala. She was born August 19, 1926, the daughter of Ben

H. and Cora T. Colvard.

Mary was a native of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina and moved to The

Villages from Wilkesboro, North Carolina in 1996. Mary and her husband

moved to Ocala in 2013.

She graduated from Salem College, in Winston Salem, North Carolina and

received her Masters from the University Of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She

retired from Wilkes Community College, Wilkesboro, NC. where she was a

College Professor and Librarian.

She was involved with her community and a member of the DAR.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years Dr. William R Richardson of Ocala.

Corinne DeVault (Dan) and Elaine Mills (Frank) her daughters. Along with 5

Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren

Predeceased by her parents Ben H and Cora T Colvard, Her sister Louise C.

Sprinkle, and brother Ben H Colvard II.

Per the family’s request, no services will be held at this time. The family

requests any memorials be sent to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th

Ave. Ocala Florida 34474.
