Deshawn Wade Smith was born September 3, 1992. He loved to play video games, playing basketball, and spending time with his family. He loved sneakers and had dreams of becoming a sneaker designer one day. He loved helping those in need, and always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Deshawn gave the ultimate gift of life on May 12, 2020. Though his incredible gift, he leaves a legacy of love, life and hope to many people and fulfilled his dream of making a difference in this world—and a family that couldn’t be more proud of him.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother Faith Dillon, grandparents Allan and Myrtle Dillon, and uncle James Cannon. He is survived by his parents Carrol and Larry Smith; his siblings; Alfonsa Smith, Fabion Smith, Michelle Brown, Megan and Reginald Wright, Michael and Chamaille Forrest, Larry Miller, Roland Miller, Noland and Carliss Miller, his Aunt and Uncles; Yvonne and James Lane, Rose Cannon, Winsome and Craig Jacobs, Lennox Dillon, Donovan and April Dillon, Michelle and Odarious Thomas, Kyla and Michael Freeny, and many cousins.
